Looking for the Perfect Valentines Day Gift?

Whether your significant other has an interest in aviation and learning to fly, or you would just enjoy a out of the ordinary experience a romantic flight is a gift that they will never forget!

You don’t have to fly on Valentines Day. Schedule your flight anytime you’d like!

The evening of your flight you will meet your professional pilot at Outlaw Field in Clarksville, Tennessee where you will board a Cessna 172.  Headsets will be provided so that you can hear and talk to your pilot during your flight if you choose.  Relax and enjoy the views as you and your significant other experience a private relaxing flight on your way to a romantic dinner for two.  You will fly to your choice of three destinations where you will be transported to the restaurant. (The cost of dinner is not included with the flight).  Flight time will vary depending on the destination you choose. Destinations include:

Lambert's in Sykeston, Missouri – Home of Throwed Rolls. Hot rolls are flying through the air every few minutes so be alert and catch a roll! They are also known for their "pass arounds" -- onion fried potatoes, fried okra, macaroni & tomatoes, and black-eyed peas. These are brought around constantly and are free with any meal.  Choose Chicken, Pork, Beef or Ribs from their menu.

The Lodge at Lake Barkley, Kentucky - This glass walled 331 seat restaurant allows guests to have panoramic and scenic views from any seat in the house. With Chef Hattie Cheatham’s specialty of good old country cooking like meatloaf, fried chicken, catfish & hushpuppies, with real mashed potatoes, the restaurant has earned a long-time and well-deserved reputation for the best home cooking in western Kentucky. As a supporter of Kentucky Proud program we utilize locally grown meats and produce when available.

Pattis 1880 Restaurant in Grand Rivers, Kentucky – Voted the Best Non- Franchise Restaurant by the readers of Kentucky Living. Pattis serves pasta’s, chickens, sandwiches and steaks to their amazing 2" thick charbroiled pork chops and pies.

After dinner you will again board your flight and return to Outlaw Field in Clarksville.  It will be a memory you’ll want to share with family and friends – and one that you’ll never forget.

The Valentines Day romantic flight would be a great way to take a ride in a plane that you can learn to fly, however if you or your significant other is not interested in flying, but the other is - Volunteer Aviation also offers 30 minute or 1 hour discovery flights.  This will allow you or your significant other a chance to sit in the pilots seat and take control of the aircraft to find out if becoming a private pilot is in your (or their) future.

Many people don’t know that General Aviation is something available to everyone.  Whether you want to charter a private flight, or want to learn to fly, flying is not just a sport for the rich, or those who want to become professional pilots.  Volunteer Aviation trains private pilots from all walks of life, from high school students, soldiers, mothers, doctors, mayors – we’ve taught every kind of person to fly!

You don’t have to own a plane to enjoy flying either.  Once you have your pilots license, planes can be rented at reasonable rates from many small airports across the United States!
